Anna Donovan

Co-director, Centre for Ethics and Law Lecturer in Law, UCL

Anna joined the faculty as a lecturer in 2014. Prior to this, she was a senior corporate solicitor with PwC Legal where she specialised in corporate structuring and M&A projects. Anna is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales and also admitted to the New York State bar.
Research interests include company law, corporate governance and corporate corruption. Current research projects consider whether there is a normative or legal basis for current proposals that corporations should adopt wider, more ‘responsible,’ compliance strategies.


Anna is a company law lecturer at UCL’s Faculty of Laws and the co-director of the UCL Centre for Ethics and Law, a research centre that explores the interplay between business, law, technology and ethics.  Before joining UCL, Anna was a senior corporate solicitor in London and she is also admitted to the New York bar association.  Anna’s research interests include company law and governance and the regulation of complex systems.
