Ariane Chapelle, founder and director, counts 20 years of experience in teaching both academic and professional audiences. She is active in operational risk since 2000, with business experience acquired in managerial functions in Internal Audit and Risk Management in ING Group and Lloyds Banking, academic research, independent consulting and training.
Ariane Chapelle is Honorary Reader at University College London for the course “Operational Risk Measurement in the Financial Services”. She has published books on Corporate Governance and Risk Management and numerous research and professional articles in Finance, Corporate Governance and Risk Management. She holds a PhD in Economics, and Master in Econometrics and a Master in Management Science for the University of Brussels (ULB). She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Operational Risk (FIOR) for which she chairs the Sound Practice Guidance Committee. Ariane is an Honorary Member and a trainer for the Institute of Risk Management and for PRMIA. She is married and the mother of three children. She is based in London.
