Matthias Lehmann

Director of Institute of Private International and Comparative Law at the University of Bonn

Professor Dr. Matthias LEHMANN holds the chair for civil law, private international law and international business law at the University of Bonn, Germany, where he is also Director of the Institute for Private International and Comparative Law. Matthias is particularly interested in international and comparative aspects of banking and financial law. He has published, inter alia, the SSM, cross-border bank resolution, bank structural reform and civil liability of credit rating agencies. Matthias teaches and publishes in German, English, French and Spanish. He has been visiting at LSE and at Oxford University. Currently, he is a member of research project on “Monnaies virtuelles” (virtual currencies) at the University of Bordeaux.
