Marco Ortu graduated in electronic engineering from the University of Cagliari, and obtained a PhD in Software and Electronic Engineering from the same university. He is assistant professor of Web Analytics and Text Mining at the master degree in Data Science and Business Innovation, Department of Economics, University of Cagliari. His research interests include agile methods of software application development, software metrics, social networks, modelling of the software process as human interaction between developers and stakeholders, blockchain technology and Smart Contracts. He is author of over 35 international publications on these topics, which have about 640 citations (source: Google Scholar). He collaborates with many universities, including, Brunel University of London, Montreal Polytechnic University, Honk Hong University, and University College London. He has participated and participate to several international and domestic research projects. He is a founding member of one spinoff firms working in software production and blockchain development.
